Wuxi brazed plate heat exchangers are a new type of high-efficiency heat exchanger. They are made by brazing a series of metal corrugated plates together, forming thin rectangular channels between the plates for heat exchange. Compared with conventional shell and tube heat exchangers, they have a much higher coefficient under the same flow resistance and pump power consumption, and there is a trend of replacing shell and tube heat exchangers in their application scope.

1. Spiral plate type: It consists of two parallel metal plates with a certain distance. Cold and hot liquids flow in the spiral channels on both sides of the metal plates. This type of heat exchanger has a high coefficient (about 1 to 4 times higher than that of shell and tube heat exchangers), a large average temperature difference, small flow resistance, and is not easy to scale. However, maintenance is very difficult. The operating pressure should not exceed 2 MPa.
2. Plate type: It is assembled by alternately stacking corrugated plates and sealing gaskets of a certain shape and clamping them with a frame. Cold and hot liquids flow through the channels on both sides of the corrugated plates respectively, and heat exchange is carried out through the corrugated plates. Corrugated plates are usually stamped from thin plates of stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, molybdenum, etc., with a thickness of 0.5 to 3 mm. The advantages of plate heat exchangers are high coefficient (about 2 to 4 times higher than that of shell and tube heat exchangers), easy disassembly and cleaning, the number of plates can be increased or decreased to adjust the area, the working pressure usually does not exceed 2 MPa, and the working temperature does not exceed 250 ℃.
3. Plate-fin type: It consists of a bundle of heat exchange plates enclosed in a header, with cold and hot liquid inlets and outlets on the header. The tube bundle consists of flat plates and corrugated fins, which are alternately overlapped and fixed by brazing. Cold and hot liquids flow through both sides of the flat plates for heat exchange. The fins increase the area, promote liquid turbulence, and enhance the equipment. Its structure is very compact (heat transfer area is 4400 m2/m3), the heat transfer effect is good, the operating pressure can reach 15 MPa, but its manufacturing process is complex, the flow channel is small, internal leakage is difficult to repair, and it is used for clean, non-corrosive liquids, such as air separation heat exchangers.

2. Compact structure: It is closely arranged, and compared with other types of equipment, Wuxi brazed plate heat exchangers occupy less land and space. The heat exchange capacity of plate heat exchangers with the same area is only 1/5 of that of shell and tube heat exchangers.
3. Easy to clean and disassemble: It is clamped by clamping bolts, easy to disassemble, and can be opened and cleaned at any time. At the same time, due to the smooth plate surface and high turbulence, it is not easy to scale.
4. Long service life: It is made of stainless steel or titanium alloy plates and can resist various corrosive media. Rubber pads can be replaced at will, and maintenance is convenient.
5. Strong adaptability: It is a single component, and the process can be increased or decreased as needed, with various forms; Wuxi brazed plate heat exchangers can be applied to various different technical requirements.
6. No liquid mixing: Its sealing groove is equipped with a drainage channel, and various media will not be connected. Even if there is leakage, the medium will be continuously discharged outward.
